Word of the day: “Minerva” - the Roman goddess of wisdom, often represented/accompanied by a little owl (Athene noctua). Athena is Minerva’s Greek counterpart.

“The owl of Minerva flies only at dusk” (Hegel, 1820); wisdom arrives too late for its era. A line for our times. (via @RobGMacfarlane)
