The South American hoatzin is the only bird that exclusively eats leaves and, like a cow, has multiple ‘stomachs’, where leaves sit and get digested by bacteria. This produces methane which is belched out by the hoatzin. Hence, its nickname—the stinkbird. (Image: Bill Bouton) (via @qikipedia)
